Savannah S. Miller (she/her) is a queer and disabled writer of poems, plays, and the things in between. A strong believer in the power of words, she considers herself an inventor and agitator, and her art and scholarly pursuits a means of activism. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing with a focus on Fiction from Augsburg University.
Savannah's work aims to center the narratives of women and LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as raise awareness about mental health and invisible access needs. She is currently working with Playhouse on the Square in Memphis as their Director of New Works and Front of House/Volunteer Coordinator. As Director of New Works, she spearheads the NewWorks@TheWorks program at Playhouse, which leads to the world premiere productions of two new plays every year. Her work has been featured by or is forthcoming with the Sierra Club, The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature, Papers Publishing, Sad Girls Club, Ambidextrous Bloodhound Press, Future Publishing House, and Silent Spark Press. |
